Spain Travel Itineraries
A guide to help prepare your Spanish vacation

Venice is the most romantic city in Europe

GardensSpain, one of the most popular holiday destinations around. Famous for its sun, sea, sand and Paella! There are many things to do all over Spain no matter where you go whether you're a fan of the old towns, the castles, the nightlife or the restaurants. However, here is a guide of things to do in Spain to help you along the way to deciding what you would like to do and where you would like to go.

Alhambra Granada - You may need to buy tickets in advance however you should take the whole day to explore the Alhambra and Granada itself. There is lots to do and see in and around here so make sure you take a camera for lots of photographs of this beautiful place! A day out all the family will enjoy.

For the more adventurous out there - Skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. This is near Malaga (which you could always visit the day before or after and make a true trip of it) and the bliss of this is that in late spring you get all the joys of skiing in the morning then you can sunbathe in the afternoon. Sure to appeal to any thrill seekers or adventurous people!

The Local Fiestas - Do not be put off by the fact the Fiestas are mostly religion based, as they are still fun, colourful, exciting and a wonderful experience for anyone of any age. Also for the party goers, you can expect to party into (and some times THROUGH the night!)

Parc Guell - Parc Guell was mainly designed and created by Antoni Gaudi, and is filled with his sculptures along with numerous beautiful buildings. Here you will see some of his finest and well known works including the broken tile style. This is a great day out and again, a wonderful experience for any one of any age!

Enjoy Tapas - Tapas is a great experience for anyone visiting Spain, especially those interested in being involved and knowing more about the cultural aspects. Tapas is usually enjoyed before or after an evening meal however very rarely replaces it. It is essentially snacks that you eat in "Tapas Bars" whilst you drink. Every bar does their own special version of Tapas, so be sure to hop from bar to bar to enjoy many different tastes and styles!

DanceLearn to (or watch) Flamenco dancing! - If you fancy being wild and learning this dance then why not look in to one of the many places all around Spain, especially Andalucia, that offer classes in this traditional dance. However, if you're not much of a dancer then still, a visit to Andalucia could either be highly enjoyable or change your mind. People dance in the town for entertainment for tourists and locals alike and it has become quite a tradition. It is popular, fun, heartwarming and enjoyable to watch, especially for children!

Visit Las Ramblas - Most streets in most towns and cities in Spain are packed full of loud vehicles taking people from A to B. If you are a person that would like to shop without all this nonsense, then look no further than Las Ramblas! Las Ramblas is a beautiful street in Barcelona designed for pedestrians only. It is lined with outdoor markets, cafes, restaurants and shops. No vehicle noise to be heard and no dodging vehicles or worrying about crossing the road here! Las Ramblas finishes with a pier that is home to a wonderful shopping centre, more restaurants and even a Sea Life centre, therefore proving to be a great family experience!

Tenerife - change of scenery? - Bored of seeing the same old beaches over and over? Then why not take a trip to Tenerife to see the peculiar volcanic rock formations and the spectacular scenery that the park surrounding Mount Telde has to offer. Mount Telde is home to an active volcano and is also the highest point in all of Spain!

El Rastro - Are you a fan of bargains, markets or shopping? Or maybe you enjoy sitting back and watching people of the world go by? Then El Rastro is for you. El Rastro is the worlds largest open air "flea market". Locals and tourists alike either dine, shop or sit for hours 'people watching'.

Into nightlife? BCM! - If you're a fan of the night scene then look no further than BCM Nightclub in Magaluf. It is the most famous club in the world with the highest quality of resident and guest DJs. People flock to BCM from all over Europe. It is home to four venues. These are:

Any age can enjoy this, as it includes fun for big kids, little kids and all the family together! It is home to 12 attractions including a large green area where you can sunbathe and view the Navacerrada Mountain Range. Some of the attractions are:

Overall, Spain is packed with so many weird and wonderful things to see and do! I would recommend spending at least two weeks here, as you will need it in order to do a decent amount of sight seeing. Spain is a beautiful place and every town accommodates for any age and any member of the family so you never have to worry about anyone getting left out! I also recommend trying the paella!
